The FiberStar is a compact and robust fiber laser that emits at a wavelength of 1085 nm. It is insensitive against shock, vibration, dust, temperature and other disturbing factors. The service-free laser is ideally suited for the harsh environments of industrial applications.

These include micromaterial processing, microcutting, microwelding, engraving and imaging. Due to its good beam profile, the FiberStar also serves as a reliable source for scientific tasks such as sample evaporation, non-linear optics and laser tweezers.

The beam has a Gaussian intensity profile with a M² value of less than 1.3 and the laser radiation is guided to the point of use with an armored single-mode fiber. The FiberStar is easy to use and can be integrated into existing set-ups.

The FiberStar can be mounted into a 19 inch rack or it can be operated as a table top unit. For the cooling of the diode lasers, an efficient recirculating chiller unit is used.
