The VersaDisk-Q generates strong pulses with a repetition rate of up to 15 kHz. In the high power version, the energy per pulse is more than 12 mJ at 5 kHz (1030 nm). The pulse duration is approximately 500 ns.

All advantages of the disk laser concept apply for the Q-switched version as well. The efficient heat transfer from the Yb:YAG crystal allows highest output power without disturbing thermal lensing. The Gaussion beam profile (M² < 1.5) is always maintained.

As an option, the output can be frequency doubled to 515 nm.

For special applications, the VersaDisk can be equipped with injection seeding. This version delivers pulses with a linewidth of a few MHz.
